I only take one trip West each winter, but BC interior is on the short list this season.

Went through the entire 09-10 thread today and am looking forward to this season.
Spent 08/09 in Banff and am flying into Vancouver November 20th heading straight to Revvy. Heard so much about it from friends that spent the season there last season. Some quick questions.

what will the difficulty of finding work late November be like? and also what will it be like trying to find a place to live? I have only driven through Revvy once on the way to Van so no very little about the town but want to focus this entire season on snowboarding only. Partied too much in Banff and wanted to do Whistler but thought I would get way to sidetracked with the fun that town has to offer.

If you want to dedicate yourself to riding without a party scene, you're coming to the right place.
As far as finding work/accomodations in November... good luck, it will be extremely difficult. However, a bunch of places do start hiring around Nov.20-Dec.15, because all the snowmobiliers start coming to town (hotels). Places to live will be few and far between and expensive - you might be able to get a bedroom in someone's place, but it will be tough to find your own rental.

cheers dude? are you living there now? What sorta work do you do?
I know a guy who works at outabounds so i'm gonna ask him if he knows anyone who has a room to rent and two girls who are moving back there soon.
I might just wing it and if I can't find work hopefully I can find a place to stay and ill just board everyday and live like a bum for the season. Would you recommend any other bc/alberta towns other than whistler or banff that have a decent town or would be a good place to live? Does golden have a similiar town vibe to Revvy? what would fernie be like to live in?

Any insider tips on finding a condo for a week in Revvy? I've been hitting up all by the Owner rental, etc. sites I can think of, but I only find the same half a dozen places. By contrast, the same sites list 2 and 3 pages for Red Mountain.

Right now I'm looking for winter work as my summer work will end soon, so not sure what I'll do yet.
Fernie is pretty dope. Golden is the ultimate sausage fest (and about half the population of revy). Check out Nelson and Rosland, both are wicked towns with super chillin vibes and great ski hills.

Condo for a week hmmm. Not too sure. Check out all the hotels (inc. Nelsen Lodge at the ski hill). That route will be fairly expensive. You could always rent a bedroom in someone's house for for 1 month for about $350-$500 which would probably be cheaper than a hotel suite for a week. Check the Revelstoke Times Review rental section (newspaper) as well as the Stoke List The Stoke | Classifieds - Revelstoke, BC those are the only online rental sites. Besides that it's calling hotels or cruisin the bulletin boards.
