I've ridden mount washington before, but never even heard of mount Cain until I stumbled on the video below. I grew up on the island and still hadn't even heard of it :P Vancouver Island Video | Transworld Snowboarding Anyone on these forums ridden it before? |

I have not but a guy I used to work with rode up there a few times. He said that it's pretty awesome because no one goes there, its basically all untouched powder, the only problem is its only t-bars.
I would defiantly check it out this year but i dont live on the island anymore. Oddly enough I too only learned of it this year, its kind of like the hidden gem. No one knows it exists. Bring a truck if your going up. they dont keep the road plowed, so good luck getting a civic up there. Last edited by Kwanzaa; 10-18-2011 at 07:50 PM. |

Thanks for the tip, we'll be take a 4x4 truck.
Their site says: "The majority of the lower runs are groomed while the majority of the run accessed from the upper T-bar are left ungroomed for sheer powder pleasure!" If they're only opened 3 days per week, nobody (even people living on the island) knows they exist, and they leave the top half ungroomed, it sounds like a recipe for epic pow. |
