ya it looks not bad, i think im gonna head up mid week next week. they are saying they will have 4 runs opens. is sunshine saying the 10 or 11? its cut off on my screen i can only see a 1. if sunshine opened on a thursday i might just hit that up instead.
I sent a message to them, and the park will open after the world cup races(nov 27 i believe). They are gonna have a small rail park 'till then though. As for the rest of the mountain, i don't know.
it all depends on snow. I think given how much more there is compared with last year the back should be open sooner rather than later. Each weekend we should see more and more. top first, then ptarmigan and then the back.
awesome blossom, i will prob just hit up sunshine then since i have a pass there. i hear its good opening day at ssv. more runs than most places? im guessing wawa, strawberry, standish and maybe wolvern would be open?
This year is night and day from last. I went on opening weekend last year and the base was a good 50% grass with a path down to the lift.
this years lookin good so far but i just hope it's not as cold as last year, rode at sunshine last year in some -24 weather and got minor frost bite on my cheek.
I was at the lake on Saturday and today. Looking very good. Still early season so not much open but if they get another couple of dumps the front side will be all open. I imagine the back side is already looking good!
They will get a litte more open. Everything at the lake at the moment is focused on the downhill world cup (a wicked event if you have never seen it). As said above the lake will be full on this weekend with Sunshine not opening.
My friends and I are going to Banff next week, how's Lake Louise snow base? Do I need to bring my rock board? I have a new board for this year and I don't want to wreck it on the first day like last December at Marmot.
That's one of the sweeter Gopro vids I've seen this season, never saw anyone use that angle, it's neat to watch. See you don't need fancy editing to make it cool. I like your ketchup and mustard theme you got going on as well
Thats win for sure lol. I can't believe how smooth the camera was. For some reason I always thought i could bomb down that run in less than 2 minutes but i guess not. I can't fucking wait to ride louise sunday
a skier got buried on the backside. they closed a lot of the mountain after that, then opened the front side for the rest of the day. patrol said he was fine. i think he got air lifted out, a chopper flew out of the backside pretty low.
Thats crazy to happen inbounds at louise. Hope he's not hurt, anyone know if the back will be open? i looked on skilouise and they say all lifts are running
ya im pretty sure it will be open but they are supposed to get more snow tonight/tomorrow, maybe they will be extra cautious so it might take a bit more time in the morning.
Yesterday at Louise was good. . . Today was ridiculous.
Got into the back bowls just as the opened it, and same for Paradise bowl. Even the last run of the day I was still tracing fresh uncrossed lines through glades. . . Amazing day!
