I have a shit load of snowboarding gear that I've been accumulating.
I know there is a Buy and Sell section, but I don't even have a credit card or have a clue about paypal. So I was wondering if I should post it in here? Realistically, you guys are the only ones that could get it. Cause you would have to be relatively close too me to get it. Nothing super fancy or new, but fairly cheap I think? I just gotta clean house. |

Well dude start researching about paypal, like milo said, you will not be taken seriously what so ever.
People are really serious/strict about buying on the internet. No one is just going to mail you cash in an envelope or whatever you're thinking. It's also not all about them getting ripped off, do YOU want to be taken advantage of? If you don't know what you're doing people will easily be able to see and they won't hesitate to rip you off. Start doing your homework

I don't think you understood what I was trying to get across.
I live in Maple Ridge which is close to the center of the Frazer Valley. Even though this is a Western Canada section, I've noticed quite a few people seem to also living in the Fraser Valley, & going to the same mountains. I know of two people from this forum, that have replied to my Craigslist postings. They might not know it, but the same email confirms it. Since you guys & myself are the ones that live & breath snowboarding, hence the membership to this forum. I figured I might as well just post all my shit in here. Hopefully that is more clear on my intentions, make more sense? So I don't need a paypal thing, well maybe I do? But I have to much on my plate @ the moment |

Nothing wrong with posting a "for sale" message specifying what area you're in. State that you'll only sell locally and face-to-face. It reduces your potential audience, but if it works, why not?

Paypal is really not painful to set up. Just sign up and add a credit card and a bank account (it's a good idea to be verified, saves suspicion and hassles). When you add a bank account (you just need a cheque) Paypal will put a couple tiny deposits in your account for confirmation. It's really not a big deal if you are legit. Shipping clothes is cheap, boots not really worth it, and boards well that just depends on the board. |

That's what I thought, I'm just tryin' to spread the stoke.
I love trying out new shit, that's why I have so much shit. So I'm open for trades, I don't really have a go to board. |
