For Whistler the Symphony Bowl is nice and 7th Heaven is great on Blackcomb. The upper mountains usually have more and better snow but can also have poor visibilty, take longer to open because of avy control and can get really crowded when they do open.
I like to cruise mellow blue runs when the groomers are clean. Solar Coaster Lift on Blackcomb has several long and fun runs and for some reason doesn't get the crowds that some of the adjacent lifts do. I prefer Blackcomb in general, runs are better designed for snowboarders IMO. Haven't been to the other places but am hitting Revelstoke in Feb. |

At Kicking Horse check out white wall if its open. Hike Superbowl and Terminator Ridge.
If Revy has fresh snow it doesnt matter. North bowl is fun but the tress out the back are the best IMO.

Hike the flute bowl off Symphony. Did that a ton while I was there 2 weeks ago and it was fantastic every time. The local I was with said that on the first day the snow was the "worst it'd been all year" over there, and yet it was fresh untracked powder the whole way down (albeit a LITTLE wet). Then we got a little snow every night, and one dump, and I saw what he meant. Just ridiculous powder in there.
I really liked West Cirque (crazy steep), Picalolo (or something like that). West Bowl was pretty fun too. Last edited by AdamBQ; 02-16-2012 at 09:41 PM. |
