Hey Guys,
I applied for work at Silver Star for the 2012/13 Season. I wanna know if anyone has been to Silver Star and what the resort is like? Busy/Quiet during Christmas season? Whats the local town like Vernon? Does is have a good Nightlife? I cant wait to move over to Canada from Australia.

Lots of tumbleweeds around here. Have not been. The resort doesn;t get much of a run around here. Its family focused and will be full of aussies. (Not that every resort in western Canada isnt already) If you have ridden in Oz and not in Canada a shit season here will blow your mind nevermind a good one!

Is there any resort that isn't slammed on xmas holidays?!?
Silver star is a decent hill though... Good park, soke fun runs and decnt snow... the best part is yhat you're just 1.5 hr from Revy when the hwy is open (usually but often short closures and delays around 3 valley gap) Vernon is siiick in the summer though. Two words: Kal Lake. |
