i got up to cypress today... yeah not so great, arrived 8:30am and wind was just a howling, i knew they werent going to open the lifts so i hiked up, worth it, if only to see the looks on the lifties faces when i came down... they werent impressed but my immense charm cooled the air

Heres a very very very quick video of Whistler opening day. Was so damn wet when we were riding and sooooooo damn windy, mates who went up at like 1pm said it was still windy but reasonably dry. Footage is pretty average quality, was also first time riding with a GoPro on a pole, wow it really throws you off balance will be something I need to get used to haha ended up giving up filming anything cause I wasn't able to butter or try and play around with the pole hence why the footage is only like 50seconds lol

Hahaha yeah I only filmed half a run, I wasn't able to butter around with the pole I'm not used to it yet lol

The conditions on Whistler were a lot nicer today, was up top by 9am and there were about 15 people on the hill haha Had about 5 really nice runs given the conditions, there was about 22cm last night and its still dumping, Roundhouse was -6 so the snow falling was pretty decent Whacked the GoPro on the helmet today to muck around, will do some experimenting and see what I can come up with in a few weeks haha

I put my Contour on a pole last season. It certainly does put limits on your riding. I developed a tendency to point it straight up when doing things like 180s. Kind of a unique perspective, actually.

I need new pants. Who makes longer fitting pants, I'm usually a 36x34 in jeans, but have a hard time finding a good pair. I currently have westbeach, but can't find them around anymore.

I'm thinking of purchasing overalls, what do you fellas suggest.

I had Cypress corporate discounts goin' on, sweet prices, like $240 less than the early bird. Only something like $450 for a Silver.

I've already been up 2wice, but it's very limited with only one run for everybody. Apparently they got 20 cm last night & it might have snowed all day?

I say might because they updated the snow report starting @ 6 this morning, then every hour.
Each time saying that it was snowing, but the stats never changed.

@ the end of a whole day snowing, the numbers are the same.
Only shuffled around & worded differently
& since they took out all the web cams, I guess we'll just have to trust them.

Oh well, nothing I can do except rip it up.

Overalls suck. Super hassle any time you want a break & @ the end of the day.

I have a few pair that will fit you. They're virtually brand new.
No rips, no wear marks, no stains. Just to damn big for me.

Unless you have your mind set on paying 3 or 4 times more?

I picked up the early bird pass to Seymour this year.. My first time buying a season pass, hopefully the job stays as quiet as it's supposed to!

I'm hoping to go up a few nights a week once the night lights are on. I'll be leaving North Burnaby around 6pm, if anyone lives nearby I'm up for giving you a ride anytime.
