Baker is the shit! I've gone a bunch last year, and yes, you can find amateur stuff, and some pro hills. It's all business there, people go there to ski and board, no tourists grouping on crests taking peace sign photos.

Went hiking up on Seymour today. Wow, it's bad. The snow's down to a few inches depth in most places, there's bare ground everywhere, and what snow there is, is refrozen crust.

Definitely getting concerned.

Haha.. Yeah I was at Seymour printing my pass, the snow at the base was horrible.. Even my dog was suspicious of the whole thing. Looks like its warming up this week too, not good.

Thats not what I want to hear, and nothing in the forecast but rain/snow mix.

Whistler was amazing this weekend. Tons of stashes to be had, fast groomers, really cold and sunny, just gorgeous.

Cypress Airbag update:

So Cypress finally opened it today at noon. It is a pretty cool set up and was not too busy. For $8.00 you get to hit it 6 times, the first jump has to be a straight air. There is talk about a daily airbag usage rate but has not yet been determined. Anyways pretty cool to have this on a local hill.

Might have to go to Whistler next Saturday, looks like it'll be snowing from Wednesday night onwards.. Really could do with NOT spending the money!

Well, I have to admit it's cooler than I thought it was going to be.

Which only adds to my frustration with Cypress

I was told it would only be set up on the weekends & over the holidays.

Weekends are a joke, it's like an hour wait for the chairlift. It was like that yesterday & it will only get worse as we get into the season. I don't think I'll ever go on the weekend again.

My pass has restrictions, which are as follows.
Valid all season, open to close 7 days a week EXCLUDING Dec 26, 2012 to Jan 2 2013 & weekends in Jan & Feb.

Oh yah!! Looks like I won't ever get to use it.

Cypress is the most greedy mountain, that thing should be included with your pass.

I had my camera but didn't have anybody to film me, but I did manage to get a gaper to film one jump.
