Well, I took the new Slackcountry up to Cypress yesterday.
Saw Thatguy @ the bottom so we went up to Skychair for some of that sweet powder I had been ridin' the day before. I rode it for less than 30 seconds, literally 15 feet & snapped it in half. I'm pretty sure people on Grouse could hear me cursing @ the top of my lungs. I didn't want to take it up before, just encase I put a scratch on it. It was absolutely pristine, still is except it's in 2 pieces. FFFUUUUUCCCCKKKKKKKK......... @ least I brought 3 boards with me, so it didn't end my day, just my happiness. TT

The guy I bought it off had only taken it out like 5 times in super deep days. I was wondering about any sort of warranty, but it's a 2010, so past the warranty period. I've read a tonne before & after I purchased this thing, & from what I've read it's supposed to be stiff as fuck. Shouldn't stiff as fuck = strength? Because honestly I don't think any of my other boards would have snapped that easy. I'm only about 160-165lbs right now, I don't know what the weight range is for the 164 off the top of my head but I bet I didn't even fit in that weight class for that board? I might try & get in touch with Ride, but even with my best sob story, I'm pretty sure they're gonna say "shitty for you"? No offense, but it ain't funny & if anyone would have laughed or even made a smart ass comment yesterday. I would have broken their neck on the spot. I'm not kiddin'. El snappo. TT

What are some good tree runs in whistler/black comb, and where do I find them. Everything I seem to run into is dense bush that I don't dare adventure into.
I've heard of a run called "Christmas trees" but no idea where it is?

One of my favourite tree runs (and also relatively safe for a someone new to Whistler) is the trees downhill from Crystal Chairlift.
If you're at the bottom of Crystal Chairlift, face downhill and look right. You'll see a sign talking about the 'Enchanted forest' or something like that. That's a tree run that runs down the hill and you'll exit onto a cat track on the other side of the tree run. There's plenty of nice tree runs towards the bottom of 7th heaven too, which you should be able to find relatively easily since those are hard to miss. That whole alpine area isn't open yet though, but it'll be open this Saturday (or so they've told us).
