Hey, slightly off-topic but this is a "local" thread....
Anyone have, or know someone who has a bounce board that they no longer use and would be willing to sell? BounceBoard

i could put this in the sale thread, but since im too lazy to ship something im only going to sell it locally, and feel like giving a crazy good deal to someone here for xmas
I have last years Burton Vapor with this years Burton genesis bindings on it. would cost about 2k retail. I paid about $1,300 or something. Because it xmas im going to sell the whole set up for $700 under two conditions. You need to buy it and pick it up monday evening downtown. Board size 159 bindings L Both have only been used for a 6 runs. |

Wow, was Seymour ever great today! OK, there was some fog, but really not as bad as it can get. And the snow was late Jan or early Feb snow, when the stuff is finally coming down and not getting melted. It was busy, but the new Mystery chair is keeping up nicely.
I think if we get another foot or two of snow it'll be better than it was at any time last season. I'd like to now offer my apology to Ullr for all the bitching and whining over the last month.

I take it the tramp sessions are pretty fun?
You should be able to slap one of those bounceboards together pretty easy. Much cheaper than those outrageous prices that are on bounceboard.com for some foam & straps. Try value Village or the leisure center & see if you can get one of those flat foam pieces. Substitute Carbon & fiberglass with some foam & maybe chop down some thin cutting board for stringers to stiffen it up. I got some ideas, don't know why I haven't made somethin' like this already for my tramp. Cause about 3 min on a normal board is about as long as you can go for before you have a heart attack. Regular snowboards on tramps kinda sucks, they fight each other & you have to work so hard for very little. You can't tell me you don't want to try that air bag, & I know for a fact, coming & playing on it will only be beneficial for everything else your tryin' to accomplish this year? Correct? The chances of hurting yourself are next to nil. I tried a double & my face was the first thing that hit the bag, & I'm still pretty ![]() Last time I was on it, they were only checking to see that you had @ least bought 1 ticket for $2 & signed the waiver. After that they didn't care how many times you went off it. They were laughin' about it. I'll lend ya $2 bucks ![]() You can't say no to that! TT

You never think it'll actually happen but yesterday at Hemlock my buddy went head first down a tree well.
We rode most of the day lapping, getting some awesome pow turns, face shots, the works. So good, and deeeeep Bout 3 we decided to head up and try get a couple photos so we were sticking a bit closer than normal. So fucking lucky. Was waiting a little below my friends line watching him drop, he got a couple big turns in... going FAST. Anyway, he lost it flying forward, head first and whoooomp, straight into a tree well under a small Douglas Fir. All I could see was the bottom of his board. Text book shit. I was probably 10ft from him, and it took a sickeningly long time to unstrap and climb through thigh deep snow to get to him. He was totally inverted and lucky not struggling, but he could not do a thing. I dug on the lower/shallowest side and it took quite a while to reach one of his arms. When I got there I could figure out where his head was and he was using his free arm to point to where his mouth was... kinda frantically because he'd just run out of air. Once I got an air channel to him, I got my girlfriend who'd just got down to us to help excavate the remaining snow without collapsing it more and finally got him free. Anyway, we got him out and he's fine but be we are all a little rattled. I guess we will process what we learned and try be more careful in future. We were LUCKY, and that's about it. I gotta say, it's probably mainly down to this place that I even know what a tree well is. Read those posts if you haven't already |
