That's awesome, I love stories like that. & love it when a plan comes together.

Cause I do that sort of shit. almost every time I end up becoming buddies with the person. Bringin' a big bag of sticky icky doesn't hurt either

I've never really had much of a problem getting a ride holding a board.

Missed the last bus once @ Coquitlam center & had to walk to Maple Ridge with gear in hand @ 2:30am. Got picked up by a girl by herself & driven right to my door.

After she picked me up, I even told her she shouldn't pick up guys driving alone, especially @ 2:30am.

She said "But you had a snowboard, I knew you weren't a murderer"

I'm big on Karma though, & I never drive by a hitch-hiker.

Glad it all worked out for you.
More people should do it, & don't worry, it has a way of workin' out.

lots of discounted tickets, as well as 2 for 1's.

Back when you could find 2 for 1's for free, I used to go to whistler with 2 of them.
Walk up to a group of 3 guys & ask if they wanted to save $30 bucks.
Buy 4 tickets & mine would be free.

With two 2 for 1's you can get 4 tickets for $200.
They pay $70 & save $30 & you don't pay @ all.

Sometimes you'll get guys that don't think you should get it for free though, no sense arguing, there's way too many people that are willing to save $30.
Just walk away & ask the guys behind them.

Just make sure you go back & rub it in their face for being dick heads.

The Greyhound deal is probably one of the best ones you will find, if you take in account travel expenses.

edit, here's the right one.
Greyhound.ca | Whistler Ride and Ski Packages

Even in a little 4 banger, you're looking @ close to $40-$50 in fuel alone. So @ $109+tax that's a smokin' deal.

scour Craigs for 2 for 1's, sometime you can get a wicked deal if you buy a lot of 2 for 1's.

Which, if you are going to whistler, I guarantee you won't have any left when you leave.
Guaran-fuckin-tee.

There is always a line-up to buy tickets @ Whistler & 95% of those people are payin' full price,.

You could buy 100 2 for 1's & sell everyone of them in under 5 min.
@ $117 after taxes, every single person in that lineup wants one.

TT

If you happen to find a shit load of 2 for 1's for cheap, I'd be more than happy to show you how it works

Buy as many as you can, the more you buy the cheaper it will work out to be. All they way too free.

I am a fuckin' ninja when comes to snowboarding for free.
Hahaha....nice. Thanks for the heads up. What I have noticed when searching for these deals on CL are the blackout periods. I'm planning for a March trip and it seems that for all these 2-1 vouchers have the whole of March is blacked out. I'm guessing all 2-1s are similar?

What are costco prices like?

WOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO!

And I'm on vaca next week for 2 weeks!

And the long-range does NOT show a freezing level bump up to summertime levels!

(Did I just jinx it anyway?)

Rain predicted for today

6 day Mount Seymour snow forecast for 936 m

Powcrete anyone?

That's the forecast that seymour links to that is at the bottom of the resort. I don't know why they do that. I usually look at mid-mountain... just to try ignore rain warnings lol.

Anyway, gonna be checking out all this fresh later for sure! Wooo!

Goin' to Cypress. I'm leavin' Maple Ridge right now, stoppin' to pick up a buddy @ Metro-town.
I'll check to see if anyone wants to come up with us when I get to his house.

For the whissy dudes, anyone ever attempted to hike up to the excelerator chair on the blackcomb side from coast mountain hotel? I'm looking at it on google earth, and it seems like a decent 45 min hike. I'd do it for a 110$.

Yeah I've met a few people who have done it. They said it took them about an hour, it's not really patrolled or anything but you still gotta watch out.

So if you got walkie talkies, send a scout to go first, give him a 20m start, then go for it, if you see patrol, pretend to be strapping in, and warn your buddies to hide in the bush!. Boom.
