Right on, glad I could help out.

I don't know it's been getting pretty cold lately. One can hope.

Their new snow making system will kick in as soon as the temp gets cold enough, so I think it should open up earlier than last year.

They posted a pic of the Air-bag they're getting on Facebook.
It's completely different than the ones shown in the video on Katal Innovations Inc | The Landing Pad.

The ones in the video look awesome, even if you wipe out you slide out & away.
The one Cypress purchased is this one.
I foresee this one causing big wait times in between jumps. Hopefully I'm wrong, but I can picture people, whether landing their jump or not, riding up the other end of the landing area like a quarter pipe then back up the landing area.

I posted on their Facebook page that it's not too late to trade & get the other kind. Their reply was too bad this is the one we purchased.

I'll be all over it either way, unless they do some sort of cheesy fucking pay per jump or separate pass system. Cause as much as I like Cypress for their terrain, they are definitely the biggest greedy shysters out of the 3 Van hills!!

I wouldn't put it past them to try something like that.
I'll be front & center, starting the protest if they do.
You can count on that!!!!!

How do ya figure? Care to elaborate?

The height of either end just below the the orange bumper appears to be the same, does it not?
The transition of both sides seems to be the same length & grade, correct?

If it is steep enough for you to be able to land on that transition & ride away, & the same grade of transition is on the other side, in theory why the hell wouldn't you be able to ride up it?

By your logic a skateboarder wouldn't be able to make it up the other side of a half pipe, yet they do & pump to gain even more momentum.

Go back to school.

Agreed. The the gradient of the ramp wouldn't slide you back down fast enough or at all to be able to do that. plus the way the bags are inflated you sink in a lot to absorb the impact

Burton Vapor & Method each under $300

These appear to be brand new, or @ least no mention of them being used.

These are pretty good deals regardless.

Burton Method 162 Snowboard (2012) - $297 (Whistler)
Burton Method 162 Snowboard (2012)

Burton Vapor 162 Snowboard (2011) - $221 (Whistler)
Burton Vapor 162 Snowboard (2011)

If someone grabs one of these, there will be a small demo finders fee.

Just looked it up, the first day of snow on the north shore mountains last year was oct 26th, so the current forecast puts us ahead by a week.

Soooo hoping for another crazy early opening at Cypress.
