2 brand new Never Summer boards were posted on Craigslist for $250 each. Snowboards Never Summer
I had exactly $250 but didn't want to be left broke, + I already have too many.
Regardless, I shoulda bought one anyway. What was I thinkin'? I coulda rode it & sold it for $300.
Really pissed @ myself right now.
But I have a feeling Kung-pow might have grabbed one, if not both @ that price.
wow that looks like a good base is starting to form for Seymour... I'm hoping cypress gets as much snow... though from their Facebook picture the snow doesn't look as thick as Seymour's...
With the forecast calling for rain this weekend, I ended up heading up to seymour with a friend and a shovel yesterday.
As soon as we got there, 2 other random boarders arrived with the same intentions as us.
When we were trying to decide where to build a jump, there were 3 other boarders leaving who had already built a jump, so we just put fresh snow on the landing and made the jump bigger and nicer.
We sessioned the jump for an hour or two, then decided to hike up for a run back down to the parking lot to end the day. About twenty minutes into our hike, some skiier came ripping down the mountain.
Very minimal rock dodgin was required on our short-but-sweet run down, it was suuuuuper fun. If you're fiending as much as we were/are, it's totally worth going up before the rain this weekend.
dont take this the wrong way but why goldie? theres some killer spots just a ways up under the mystery chair.
the rain thats forecast for this weekend is for the city, they dont take into account freezing levels for regular folk. like say yesterday rain was forecast but you didnt mention leaving cause of the rain or anything.
No offence taken, it's just because we ran into 3 guys who were leaving as we got there and they had already built a jump on Goldie. We figured we'd just hit their jump instead of building our own from scratch, otherwise we would have gone uphill for sure. We did go uphill for a run before leaving.
Unfortunately the rain forecasted is on snow-forecast , which is factoring in the elevation.
It's super awesome, you can look up any resort and it gives you the report by elevation. Particularily helpful for bigger mountains like Whis so you know if it's raining at the bottom but not mid mtn.
The snow show is today, another wicked opportunity to snag some cheap gear.
It starts @ 4PM. today @ the PNE.
If you can't make it today, it will be going on tomorrow as well.
What 90% of people DON'T know in everything with a red price tag, will be 25% off on Saturday only.
So even if you can't make it today, there will still be good deals tomorrow.
Get there early people will be hiding good shit behind crappy shit so they can buy it tomorrow. I've seen them do it.
I got a Burton Hero there 2 years ago, $200 wasn't that great of a deal, but on the Saturday it was only $150.
If you do go, look for the guy with the Mohawk.
I'm gonna be there early, starts @ 4
Haha, that man made shit weirds me out. Shit i hate riding hard-pack, icy early season crap. Gonna have to drink that glass of hardenthefuckup
