I was able to pull some strings & I can get corporate discounts @ Cypress, for everyone. These prices are way cheaper than the early bird & "Big5" prices.

So if you were going to get one anyway? Now you can save even more.

These prices are are equal to Mount Seymour, I don't want to dis Seymour.
I'll let all you Seymour guys do that next year & you will.
Honestly, it would be a huge injustice to your selves to pick Seymour out of Loyalty.
Even if you've been to Cypress a couple times & didn't have the best day or didn't like it for whatever reason. Trust me & ask anyone you know, especially the guys in here, I'm sure they've been to both enough to know.

This is an incredible savings & should not be missed out on.

The best day you ever had @ Seymour, isn't even an average day @ Cypress
Cypress is huge & steep!! It has Skychair.

Here is a quick run down.
Seymour: 200 acres of downhill ski and snowboard terrain.
Vertical Drop: 330m
They wouldn't dare say the lift capacity per hour!

Cypress: has 600 acres of downhill ski and snowboard terrain..
Vertical Drop: 610m
Lift Capacity - 9000 skiers per hour
Cypress Mountain has 35 Snow Guns & opens @ least a month before if not more than Seymour.

Here is what you need to do

1. Visit www.cypressmountain.com;

Well, when I got up this morning I was expecting a whole bunch of stoked riders to be on here?:dunno:
Yet not even a comment.

So hopefully some of the Cypress pass holders from previous years will chime in & explain how much better it is compared to Seymour.

AIRider, Sassicaia & anyone else who can attest to validity of what I'm sayin'
Please tell the masses what you think of the two!!
Even if your on the other side of the world & are never going to get out here, I would be curious to see which one you would pick?
To me it's a no-brainer

Here is a quick run down.
Seymour: 200 acres of downhill ski and snowboard terrain.
Vertical Drop: 330m:(
They wouldn't dare say the lift capacity per hour! In reality it's probably between 100-200, & that's being generous.

Cypress: has 600 acres of downhill ski and snowboard terrain..
Vertical Drop: 610m:D
Lift Capacity - 9000 skiers per hour:thumbsup:
Cypress Mountain has 35 Snow Guns & opens @ least a month before if not more than Seymour.

They are all wicked deals but the Silver pass option is the one you should be carefully looking over.
It costs $20 more than the Seymour pass, the limitations couldn't be any better if I got to pick them myself.

To be honest, I can't believe that no one has jumped on this.:dunno: These are prices from the 1990's.

If the costs were comparable and everything else was equal it'd be a no-brainer. As it is, I'm looking at about $800 at Seymour vs about $1200 at Cypress for the family. And that's with the Silver pass, which has restrictions that I'd consider unacceptable. For the Gold, it's about $2000 vs $800. On top of which I take transit to Seymour quite often, and the "shuttle" to Cypress costs $23 round trip vs $10 round trip for Seymour (although I usually get a "season's pass" so it works out quite a bit less than that).

Anyway, the point is that for an individual it's maybe worth jumping on, but not for a family.

#4 ·
Well that's unfortunate, you fall into a shitty category.
I didn't take the family thing into consideration.

Cypress should have a better deal than that for family's, but I guess that would contradict the corporate thing. :dunno:

How old are your kids & how good are they ability wise?
If they're really young, I'd agree with ya, not worth it.

Snowboarding is not cheap, you know it's going to cost lots.
I'm sure one trip to Whistler costs more than that $400 bucks.

For what you get @ Cypress, that $400 divided up by 4 people.
In terms of value not actual dollars cause I'm sure you get dinged the same.

Think of it in terms of mileage.
2,010 feet (1,730 continuous vertical)
Cypress Mountain - BC, CAN
1,150 feet (some poling required to ski entire vertical)
Mt Seymour - Vancouver, BC, CAN

You are going to get way way more actual snowboarding in.
Every one day @ Cypress equals two days @ Seymour.
Take into consideration the 2 high speed chairs as well as 2 other 4 person chairs. I think that would definitely be worth it.

You may not see it now, but I bet you would if you did.
I also think if you did you would never go back to Seymour. Ever.

Hold off on buying the Seymour one for a little bit.
I think as more people read this, they will also try & sway your decision.
Were all your side & just lookin' out for ya.

They ride way up the back out of bounds, all the wicked pictures you've seen in magazines for the last 20 years, none of that is in bounds.

& it's not just a little hike to get there you need snowmobiles.

I bet if you asked him what he thought of the in bounds area, he'd say "I don't know, don't go there".

Check out this article, lots of pics of Devun.
It All Started at Mt. Seymour | Scott Serfas Photography
Every pic except one is out of bounds, then if you scroll down to the bottom.

This is the only comment, left in February.

How many of these were shot inbounds? Obviously not City Booter or the QP, but I work there now and recognise none of these locations. I can’t even pick where under mystery chair that shot of Sansalone is.

Thanks for the Cypress info, I was about to buy a Silver Pass but I might go this route instead and save some money. Is there any catch? Do you have to pick them up for us or something like that? How did you work out this corporate deal? I'd like a little info on this.

As far as Seymour Vs. Cypress; Cypress is bigger but Seymour has some really cool terrain if you know where to look and they put a lot more work into their park than Cypress. I've had a lot of fun on both hills.

What I'll likely do is get a Silver Pass and then get the $100 late season pass that Seymour offers.

An air big? Who cares? I'd rather they put some money/effort into freestyle terrain. This is just gimmicky.

There is absolutely NO catch.

My 6'4" 280lb black buddy gives private lessons, he doesn't work for or @ Cypress. He has his own clientele.
Anyone can apply to get the corporate rate, but you have to have a minimum of 20 people to even apply.

I probably wouldn't be able to get that many pre bought, so I wouldn't be able too hook it up but since he already has his 20 peeps, I talked him into letting me piggyback off him.

Normally you couldn't just buy a single pass for this price, but now the quota doesn't matter, that's how I'm able to offer it to you without any restrictions.

& there are NO catches or restrictions.

1) You log in with the names given.
2) Buy your pass.
3) Go up there & get your picture taken.
4) Rip shit up.
5) Praise TT.

That's it.

That air bag may be gimmicky, & it might not be useful for 90% of the people using it. Luckily I fall in the 10% that will.
I landed my first back flip year before last, it was like 4 feet deep. I don't usually get chances to do them all that often cause I not doin' that shit in a bullet proof snowboard park.

This thing could help me dial in a whole new bag of tricks, so that I will be able to do them comfortably anywhere on the hill.

I've been mentally going over the things I want do do & this I think will be key in them coming to fruition.

I broke my tailbone @ Seymour & I hold a grudge. Simple as that.
I used to go there lots, go straight into the bar, sit with some people that were done for the day, start drinkin' then after everyone's all cool, ask for their tickets.
Did it almost every day one year. It's awesome & super easy to do, you meet a shit load of people, & all it costs you is buyin' beer.

That's an awesome deal man, thank you. I love cypress, lots of cool nooks to find if you know where to look. How long is this deal going to last?

I have crazy commitments this winter, and I'm not sure if I'll be able to go at all, even though I'm craving it big time!

#14 ·
I think till the end of September, I'll find out for sure though.

What's wicked about having a pass is being able to go up there for even an hour or two.
I gone for an hour first thing in the morning, got in some sweet lines, left & been super happy with that.
If you had to pay fuckin' 80$ bucks for that hour you'd be choked.

If you don't have a pass, it's super hard to find the time because that time costs so fuckin' much. I wouldn't go up for 2 hours knowing how much it's going to cost me, but when you got a pass 2 hours is a tonne of time.

This would have saved me some money, but I bought my early pass during the season and got a free lift ticket out of it. I definitely agree that Cypress is the best for local Vancouver mountains.

I'd like to point out that the Silver pass also gets you 40% off lift tickets during the exclusion dates. To make up the $315 more you pay for the gold pass you'd have to go 9 times ($36/time) over the Christmas/New Year week or weekends in Jan and Feb. The mountains are so busy on those weekends I'd rather skip work and go on a week day anyways.

He said he got an email about the passes, but I got one too
Gvvggffgg
Don't think he said he talked to you?
But I tend to not listen to a lot that comes out of his mouth.

Last year I was trying to figure out how to afford the family pass, which would therefore have had to be the Gold (YOU try telling wife she can't do something on a particular day. I'll watch... :D ) and that's friggin' expensive on Cypress. This year I'm going to just get an individual for me, and plan on only using it midweek. If I go 5-6 times in the season I break even.

Will continue to go with family on weekends at Seymour -- you CANNOT beat the Seymour family price!

Noice:thumbsup:
I think after the few first times you get some 3 foot deep , steep ass 10 min runs.

You might be taking more sick days, than you thought?

Or @ least having a lot more early morning appointments, that last until about 11am.

Startin' to get a little posse going on here.
I love it. Can't beat a group of guys ripping up the forest.

Aw yeah, I can't fuckin' wait.

If any of you haven't heard Cypress is offering 80% towards next years pass, you have to renew by May 31st.

The cost is $65 plus tax.

Seems like a no brainer to me?

I have lots of credit left that I need to spend.

If you would like to renew your pass through me?

I'll do it for $50 bucks, so it'll save you about $30 bucks.

Best I can do, but better than anyone else is doing.
