Ssv was great for the morning. Unfortunately they opened up runs one after another and not the same time so the runs got demolished.
If you don't go to standish and wawa for trees there won't be any pow left. Unless it snows again.

Nakiska was actually pretty good today! The gold chair was closed until 1:30 due to racer training, but there were very few people on the hill so we did some laps on the Olympic chair. They've got a little rail park at mid-mountain now and I kept doing some jumps in there on the way through.
Once the gold chair opened up I headed up for a few runs, low vis due to the snow making at the top, but the runs were in good shape. Headed into the glades and there was about 8" of fresh almost untouched (while last weekend it was starting to get tracked out). My buddies are coming down from Edmonton this weekend before they head back to Toronto for the winter. Thinking about Nakiska again tomorrow and the LL Sunday if they open up more terrain, otherwise possibly SSV on sunday instead. Keep us in the loop! |

Lake opened the platter and top of the world today. Good times I hear. Word is that they might open back bowls later in the week. It will be awesome if they open it this early.

Rode Lake Louise today and got some great tracks on the two upper lifts that opened. Should be some good snow left for Sunday but you will need to look for it. I rode SSV Friday and I would say confidently that there is more snow at SSV. We are going to ride Nakiska tomorrow for a change of scenery.

At LL today. Top of the world is full of bare rocks until you drop about 50m-100m below the unload area. I think I ptexed every single rock.
I'm sure more experienced riders will have an easier time than me. Best bet is to head all the way right and come around thru the trees and back into the main runs. decent snow in the trees. Wish I was here on Saturday. Went to practice switch riding in the wiwaxy after. Some sections are super icy. Sunshine definite has better base right now. I would wait til more snow come before going to the front side runs again.
