KPOW & Fortress - Snowboarding Forum

Has anyone checked out the KPOW Fortress Mountain Cat Skiing | KPOW - Fortress Mountain CAT Skiiing offered at the currently mothballed Fortress Mountain outside of Calgary? The price per day is a little rich, but it looks like they are offering a unique opportunity. If anyone has tried it, love to hear about the experience.

The terrain they have access to is supposed to be legit. I am not sure what their price per day is, couldn't find it on their site. In the US it's generally in the High $200-$400 per day zone. So unless they are way above that, their rates are probably pretty standard.

Very standard rate I would say. I have not done it but a mate did last season. Waist deep pow all day. He loved it! Compared to heli its cheap!

I think I read that they are $375 a day, looks pretty sweet

Have u looked at other cat skiing rates? Kpow is one of the cheapest (second cheapest i think) and the majority don't run single days anyway. Fortress has the best snow in AB by the way.

Yeah when I was up there for our AST class last year it was amazing. Easily 10ft of snow or more and this was basically at the base. The one run that we did down was pretty great.
