COP has a decent park if you're good with ice... I haven't been there in years because i hate it (too old to smash myself on the ice these days), but hey maybe you don't mind that kind of thing. I'm sure someone on this forum is a COP park rat and has a more current opinion.

I went to COP once last year, never again! Maybe it's not as bad mid-week, but my idea of fun isn't standing 10 mins in line for a 5 minute lift ride for 30 seconds of downhill... The park was decent but I don't see why it always gets mentioned in snowboarder magazine. I remember Blue Mountain in Ontario having a significantly better park.

For freestyle days I think it'd be much better to head to Lake Louise and ride the bottom chair, or Sunshine and ride the one that feeds the park. You'll probably get just as much park time with some actual snowboard turns before and after!

Only if you are going for a few days. I did a day trip to revi for opening. Loooooooong ass day.

Yeah, or I'd do 2 at sunshine, 3 at LL (I think there's more to explore there personally) and 2 at Kicking Horse.

If you were staying in Golden at Kicking Horse anyway, you could do a day trip to Revelstoke and back. Otherwise the furthest I like to go for a day trip is a 2 hour drive max (i.e. LL for me)...

I can't stand being all stiff from driving when I get to the hill! Keep trying to get my GF to take care of it on the way there but she says truckers might see us!

Yeah I live in Calgary so I'll definitely hit up Revvy at some point this season - but while my buddies are here we want to spend more time on the hills rather than in the car. I've been heading up every weekend to sunshine and the drive back kills me, it's less than an hour and a half but I'm so knackered - and I'd like to have a few beers during the day and after riding too - so it kind of rules out long drives.

the weekend after we're going down to castle for some cat riding too - which should hopefully be pretty sick.

I've got a little one too and SSV & LL have day care in resort which is a nice little touch.
