Well Louise was in about the worst condition I've ever seen it yesterday. I didn't stick around long enough for anything to really turn into slush, though that would have been an improvement.
I hiked for half an hour off the top of the platter to get to the very peak of Hikers Peak. Had some "fresh" turns down the boundary bowl and wild gully, but even those were crush on top of slush. Still a fun lap and I've never been to that part of the resort before, so was good to see.
Everything else was hardpack. I took a couple park laps and it was empty (good) because it was like speedchecking on a hockey rink before each jump (bad). Still I did some good airs and felt comfy on the jumps.
By noon we ended up at the base and grabbed some food and beer, and then took off. Still, all things are relative in this world. Rode up the lift with a couple from the Boston area who thought it was just a fantastic day!
There were brown spots showing through in a lot of places, we're due for a dump.
