If you longboard, you should come down here and put on some clinics

I do longboard! I have a few, one for cruising around town (NS Assault) that I can ollie curbs and shit, and then a freeride board for downhill and sliding and whatnot (Sayshun Polar).

Do you longboard? I prefer skateboarding but its pretty fun.

Not yet. I assume I wouldn't be very good at it either - never skateboarded in my life. But it sure looks like fun. I would probably find an area around here with fairly gentle slopes and work on it all summer. I am contemplating whether to get one or not.

You don't need a skateboarding background. Gentle hills can be a lot of fun, I say go for it. Get something like my sayshun polar so you can get your snowboard stance going. Something 40-42 inches and symmetrical, not too flexy.

Yeah, although now the forecast says 15-20 at LL on Wednesday. I have faith in the Alberta winter gods!!!

For summer activities, I'm good with hiking and mountain biking. Even mountain biking in nose hill park is a good workout.

Ya, it was pretty hard packed. Mountain biking? Hiking and camping?

Mostly backing packing/ hiking in the summer.

Panorama is totally done, so warm that snow is becoming ice hen slush. That being said I had a great snowboard til 7:30. Most roller jumps in a day!

I long board as well. Trying to get into dirt biking. Long boarding is so nice in Calgary by the river, crazy similar to snowboarding as well. If anyone is down for long boarding or dirt biking, pm me!

I would be up for some longboarding once I get all my stuff. I have been out in a long time, probably need to start on the bunny hills again :-)
