Camping and Dirtbiking is great hobby to combine together. I spend usually every weekend doing both from May-Oct, it gets a bit pricy though if you are breaking into both. If its a gang you are hanging out with, its pretty sweet to have some beers with the gang around a campfire at night and fire up the bikes in the day.

With that being said, if anyones up for some trail rides in the South this summer send me a PM

Got a spare bike? lol

Was thinking about getting a quad for more 4 season usage. Used to ride an old Honda Foretrax 350 in Sudbury in a couple feet of snow. Now that was fun!!!

Got an extra KTM 200 (wifes bike) she may take exception to lending it out tho. lol.

Those old 4trax were tough old machines, pretty rough ride though.

Lol, yeah I don't have much bike experience on trails... Was on a YZ250 once that was race prepped. Took it around a track for a few laps and felt like my forearms were going to explode!

Would love a late 90's Yamaha Big Bear or Wolverine or whatever their utility 350 4x4 is. That late 80's Honda is still a workhorse at my dads pit. It's been in the family since new and I'm the only one that gets the thing out of 3rd gear... Every time I visit my dad I take the thing in the pit and rape it to clean it out. Good fun!

We've got sweet trails around here though, no? I'd love to get a road bike again but the season is too short. I wonder what it'd be like owning an adventure bike here? Either something like a Yamaha WR250R or a KTM 690 Enduro or ???

Quads are rad and definitely a good all-year thing. I find the problem with quads in the snow is the ground clearance as much as anything. I have a Kawi Brute 750 with some decent sized tires on it and it's pretty much the best in the snow out of everyone I ride with and it still gets high-centred and stuck it's deep enough. I don't even go out in winter or anything though, just the trails I ride can have 2-3 ft on them into the summer. Wanna build some jumps up there... *rubs hands together scheming*

I live my life one storm at a time.

I was planning on just hitting Nakiska, but might have to change my tune!

Hate to bitch but that's still only about 5" of fresh. The hill was in need of a foot last time I was there...

The forecast has tamed down once again..as usual. I'll be at Sunshine tomorrow unless I hear reports that it was totally shit today.
