2:45 from central Calgary... I debated about taking time off but I think I'll wait for the next big dump.

This post is purely intended to make the calgary locals jealous lol. Got to ride whitefish montana this weekend and I felt like i literally won the lottery. Got there friday night to awake to a 9 inch dump at the mountain. 9 cms wouldve been pretty good but 9 inches was insane. I found out what a snow ghost is in Kelowna last year and the snow ghosts here made the ones we seen at kelowna look lame. The pow lines on the main runs were amazing and when we went tree mode it was almost too much lol, we had a huge group of guys(12) and 2 were average and had a pretty nasty time getting out of waist deep pow in the trees. Highly recommend whitefish to anyone looking for a sick hill with insanely cheap alchohol. The drive is 5 hrs from calgary so it is a bit of a hike but well worth it.

You're an ass!!! Yeah I've heard good things about whitefish. And the lodging deals make it pretty enticing. We'll get there one of these years even if it's just for a weekend. Gotta chase the snow wherever it goes! I'm just bent I missed a powder weekend in Fernie.

All we did was friday to sunday and it was good. The food and lodging costs alone make it worth it. If you do end up going this is the best deal around for a large group. Place was amazing and more than enough space for 12 males. Private Homes Vacation Rental - VRBO 224622 - 5 BR Whitefish House in MT, Rustic Charm-Pure Luxury,Near Glacier Park & Golf, in Whitefish. Theres also a lot of on hill accomodation but it books up fast

Anyone going to the Burton mountain festival in Louise this weekend? Thinking Sunday or Saturday if that dumps comes sooner. KH is also looking really good for Saturday.

I'm heading up Sunday for sure, thinking about Saturday too (as it might be bluebird with fresh base!)...

If anybody's heading up Sunday PM me and I'll send you my cell number. I'm going to try to get there early on Sunday morning, and then probably be all over the place all day. I really want to take a look at Eagle Ridge 1&2, as I'm pretty sure the big mountain competition is happening there. Still thinking about pulling the trigger and competing!

On second though. castle is getting like 15 over sunday so anyone down for castle on monday? Or lake on monday? both getting way more then sunshine. Next year im definitively going with a lake Louise card.
