Default Powder Stashes at Sunshine?

I'm heading to Sunshine on Friday to road test my new billy goat - but it hasn't dumped in a little while so I was wondering if anyone would share their knowledge as to any stashes that still might be found?

Yeah it's pretty tough to find fresh at this point. We're due for a dumping! Fernie got a fair bit last week I think.

I have certain places at Lake Louise that will hold snow for weeks, but it's usually difficult to get into those areas. Almost all hills are the same though, the areas that hold the snow the longest are the toughest to get into. A quick hike, a long traverse, etc. are sometimes the entryways into the good stuff!

You just moved here right? It'll take a day or two at each resort to just find your way around and get familiar with the lifts. Have fun and get prepped for when the skies open up again soon!!!

Off that one lift and go right, to the tree, down a little bit to the snow covered rock and you should see it.

yeah recently moved here - been to sunshine a few times and had a couple of good powder days. Did one hike up the top of goats eye and came down stampede. That was pretty sick, but then we headed up that way a couple of weeks ago and it didn't hold the good stuff at all.

I've also heard there's a good hike off to the right of wawa, but not sure if it'll hold anything after a couple of weeks drought.

I've not got anyone to free ride with so I'm going to book the "day in the dive" with the ski school at some point in February.

Ah sorry I got you confused with another guy that just moved here but hasn't been up to the mountains yet!

I found with Fernie and Lake Louise I just had to explore EVERYWHERE and even then there are spots that a buddy of mine knows about that I didn't. If you can meet somebody here to ride with it changes everything!

Nah - got the last 156 in the Source on 17th ave.. Was a rash decision, but I'm sure my wallet will forgive me after my first run.
