I am from Europe, from the Netherlands. No serious mountains here, just some hills, but those are used for biking only. I think the french Alps kicks ass for snowboarding and skieing but the atmosphere in Austrie or Swiss isn't there. But I wouldnt know cause I only went to the Alps cause I couldnt care less about those apres ski bars and such, just wanna board as much as possible, fall asleep as soon as I hit that couch and get back up in time to catch that first ride up to the top. In the alps you got multiple areas, some are connected some are not. I saw another post from you regarding the Slovenia Alps, but as far as I know it is a low budget location within a small area. You can't compare it to the French Alps.

I'm also from The Netherlands, I will go to La Plagne (French Alpes) for the 5th time in a row this season.
Nice area for beginners and the more advanced riders

Just trying to get the West Europe section going a bit.....The Alps are getting there, snow is falling:D

South African living in Belgium, also very flat here, like Holland;)

I have only been once to Stubaier-Gletscherbahn in Austria, the largest glacier ski area in The Alps, usually open from October to May, sometimes all year. I will be riding in Fiss, Austria this season.

I am in Fiss, Austria right now. 3 weeks ago there was little snow and still lots of grass and rocks, now in the last week we have had, I'm guessing just by looking at it, about 3 meters, flakes the size of Euro 20cent coins are falling as I type. They have brought out the full size Caterpillar front end loaders to clear the roads....we might be snowed in....:D
So, how is the snow in your part of the Alps?

I have a feeling, that this season is gonna to be a good good season:D

Will be there 10/11 feb and 9-13 march.
After boarding you can find me in memories :D
