There's a distinct lack of activity in this forum. Let's do something about it!

So, what trips are you guys planning for the following season, and to where?

As for me, I'm going to:

Laax, Switzerland (long weekend)
Val Thorens, France (week)
Mayrhofen, Austria (week)
Zermatt, Switzerland (week)

... in that order.

Zermatt is my favourite resort, so I always look forward to going there. I've heard good things about VT and Mayrhofen (Austria is amazing), so I'm very excited to be heading there, too.

Laax was a last-minute spur of the moment booking, but I've only heard good things.

You?

If anyone is looking for some great conditions in Austria, come to Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis, 3 villages sharing the same ski area, it is amazing here at the moment, if you can find a room as it's pretty much booked out. 200km of piste and 70 lifts. I'm calling this place one of Austria's best kept secrets. Well I guess I would be selfish if I didn't spread the word, or maybe I should keep quiet??

It's bloody cold atm!!!
I second that...whatever has been happening in east Europe is coming to Austria, and who knows where else. -20c forecast for Sunday at my location, Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis....brrrr.....In other words, do not, under any circumstances, pull a Dumb and Dumber move and lick the chair lift.....

it's bloody cold here in Belgium atm swell, -15 nights and -7 daytime. hopefully it'll warm up a little next weekend. The forecasts are crap at the moment. One day it says 15cm, the next theres nothing..... hopefully a big dump some time next week in the ski welt area

Amen to that. Little bit of snow forecast for Tues atm but hopefully we get some more next week. Temperature will be a bit higher next weekend too.

Went to Garmisch (Zugspitze) today - absolute blue skies not a cloud to be seen. -22 degrees C so not many people out either! Beaut day, but ran over a rock off-piste and put a dint in my board; time for another dump please mother nature!

PS: With so much base at places like St. Anton this year, I'm really hoping for a nice long season!

plenty of snw in this area, but nothing has fallen for nearly 2 weeks :(... I'm back in ellmau/scheffau/soll on friday for a weekend with a few mates.
the snow was ok last weekend when I was there, but the mist was appalling  , could see more than 50m, sometimes even less, couldn't see the chair in front of me and some point on a lift.

But a great area and plenty of groomers

Mayrhofen was great. Also squeezed in two day trips to Hintertux as we loved the first day we spent there. Lots of fresh pow near the end of the week and even the low altitude ski routes down to the Zillertal valley were in relatively good condition. I unfortunately broke my board on a hidden rock in the pow, but luckily it's covered by insurance so I'm on the hunt for a new shredstick.

I confirm.. BLOODY COLD last weekend in Austria - was in Warth-Schröcken.. -21, probably -30ish with wind chill. But man oh man the sunshine was just wonderful - I think the views, perfect snow, very few people and the suntan I got made up for the cold. Not at all sorry I went :)
Already planning my next trip in my head ^^
