Pow in the Alps

Deep fresh light dry pow, "awsome" is too weak a word. Perfect Flagship day :yahoo::yahoo::yahoo: was yelling of pure joy :D

Easter monday at 1200m, where we normally have green pastures this time of year :)

Bluebird pow days like that are very rare. I'm so happy for you and jealous at the same time:)

It's an awsome ridge where the "sidecountry" runs at our resort start: 360 view at peeks with up to 4000m and glaciers. You might even know one of the mountains: Lowest pic, in the middle, the dark tooth in the background is the Eiger north face. Thats the view out of the alpine cabin where we spend our winter weekends. This, and the fact that we get many bluebirds compensates a bit for not having a lot of pow. This year was exceptional.

really? i would have thought this is the ultimate pow zone, hhmmm....
certainly heard of the Eiger! thats awesome, just about as beautiful as here, hah. i actually lived in France for 3 years, not so far from the french alps, but i never made it to board at any resorts, it was a weird time of broke-ness and no boarding of any kind, still kicking myself for that! someday

Wow... stunning. I think I've never seen woods like this in the mountains here (CH). Where ever it's +/- flat, woods are cleared and transformed into alpine pastures. Our mountains are beautiful yes, but also well maintained. No wilderness.
Need to go there once. This amount of nature is fascinating

if i had to guess i would say this mtn is 3/4 glade or tree skiing....when i see pics of japan or europe and its all wide open bowls and fields i think , whoa, that would be weird! to just go wherever

i'd love to see more pics of there...what is the resort name where you ride Neni?
