Thumbs up 1st Boarding Trip advice

Hi All,

I am looking at booking my first trip with a number of friends for February 2014, we are all new to boarding having only learnt on dry slopes, Ideally for our first trip i would like to book somewhere in France, Any recommendations would be gratefully recieved, Good skiing facilities and good to above average night life would be a bonus!!

Many Thanks for taking the time to read my post and even more thanks if you actually respond,

Thankfully
Adam

Les trois vallees, les deux alps, portes du soleil (Avoriaz)
Just keep in mind that the French rent out appartements the size of shoeboxes. Everything is extra, like towels and bedgear. WiFi is shit and very expensive.
I once went to Avoriaz with 6 friends in a appartment with one bedroom, 2 slept in the hallway, 3 in the livingroom and two in a double bed in the bedroom. It was cheap but very uncomfortable.

As i am now too old for that shit i prefer to go to Austria and get a decent appartement. Went to Kaprun last year, excellent mountains, and just booked a trip to the Zillertal Arena in January '14.

What is your nationality? Any reason in particular you want to go to France?

I'm going to La Plagne this year. It's true what cozmo said, everything is very small. Never been to one of his suggestions but I've been to Avioriaz in the summer and all I can say is that the village kinda looks way to artificial, other then that the area was huge (did a few hiking trips)

Avoriaz and the Portes du Soleil area is beautiful. It's just the apartments that suck unless u pay the big bucks.

I can imagine it looks nice in the winter, but in the summer it looked like shit. Morzine on the other hand was beautiful
