Hi All,

Newbie to this board but great info here!

I'm 32, 5'7 150 been out boarding a few times, during first lesson, trainer told me halfway thru I was already too advanced for the beginner lessons so I want to get a progressive all mountain board I can grow into and maybe hit the park with, eventually.

I found a killer deal, either board for 155 including shipping in the 155-156 cm range. The Ride won the good wood award for 2012, but curious about what the pros think between the two. What do u guys think? Thanks!

Both boards are quite similar so honestly just pick whichever company/graphic you want haha.

I'll side with Ride's overall construction just because I've been on two of their boards and been happy with them. Have always wanted to hop on some K2 boards though. :)

Bought Brand New 2011-12 K2 Brigade for $122 OTD!

Thanks for the insight. By the time I was done posting, both boards were out of stock at the site I had found them on. Cruised by Dicks Sporting Goods, and poof, 155 K2 Brigade Normally 299 on clearance for half off (199), get to the register, 25% additional off clearance snowboards, ended up paying $ 122 including tax can't really beat that deal. I have some basic avalanche bindings but a great pair of Salomon boots. Guess my decision was easily made for me, hoping this will get me through a few years so I can figure out if I am going to go freestyle or mountain. Thanks!
