I usually go for 262+ waist width.It's pretty pricy the Peace Seeker, well it is here in Aus anyway. For same money or less you can pick up a Korua or an Amplid deck like the Souly Grail

I'd love an amplid; however, they are fairly pricy in the US. I can get a Peace Seeker for about $550 shipped with a discount code.
Equivalent Korua's are the same price as peace seeker in US as well.
The volume-shifted craze has been a godsend for big feet people like myself who aren't trying to ride long ass boards lol. (helps with tree maneuverability here
I rode this last week at new zealand remarkables during their demo day. It was a blue bird day and the snow was a bit choppy. I'm around 80kg / us size 9 boots
It's a stiff board for its size and it can rail turns very well. I was on my very old 2008 Custom x 158cm and got on their 151cm. I find the peace seeker easier to rail from the wider width and comparable stiffness. Probably wasn't use to riding a short board so I over rotated quite a bit ( fs180 turn into 360). However it's a fun board overall and I'm quite confident in taking the board to choppy off piste stuff. It's one of the more versatile boards I ridden in a while. If I'm in the market for new boards this is definitely going to be on my shortlist
I'm hoping you can relax a bit with it. Coincidentally I also rode a Custom X (161 if I remember correctly, maybe 163) and it was extremely fast and stable, but man if you relaxed or slowed down it absolutely tried to murder you. I picked up a Peace Seeker 151 a few weeks ago and I can't wait to try it out. I've been wanting something stable and fast but something that you don't have to constantly be on top of. In his review, Angry Snowboarder said you can be "mellow while cruising a blue." I trust his reviews, and I hope he's right. I loved the Custom X but I just couldn't take having to be "on" all of the time.How mellow can you be with this, do you have to be aggressive all the time?
Since you are probably the only person who has ridden both. How does the Peace Seeker compare to the Nerd Super Position? I'm looking for a directional board that I can take all over the mountain (but mostly on groomers and excluding park) that is just a blast to turn and carve on, but isn't a overly aggressive super stiff ride. I keep coming back to the Peace Seeker, Super Position, and the Season Nexus.Excavator and Peace Seeker are nothing alike. If anything from the K2 line would be like it, it would have been the old Carve Air or the regular Simple Pleasures but even those don't turn like it. You can be mellow on a blue and then step on it and just lay it over. Seriously one of the best turning boards I've been on in the last few years.
I’ve gotten mine out a few times lately, boards ridiculously fun, you look at it and it wants to carve a circle. Got it into soft knee deep yesterday, slopes and trees and it’s like a supercharged gokart, whipped through the crud as it started to lump up, nose floated like a dream and the kicked up tail was a hoot to press n swizzle onWhile I love carving, I hate carving on a small sidecut. The peace seeker has the smallest sidecut I've ever seen at 4.5/7.5. When you lay a board over, that sidecut dictates the turn size. It's easy to flex a board into a smaller turn but its hard to flex it into a larger turn. I personally hate swoopy little turns and love having more time in a carve. I'm blown away that Angry named it the number one carver. Did he lay it out?
