Hey All,

Im off to alyeska for 2-3 weeks in feb. I've never been before but i've been told that there is alot of pow runs etc??

I've been checking the snow report and it appears it has not been snowing as much as usual, is this right or am i reading it wrong??

Just trying to work out if i upgrade my pow board before i go.. Don't really want to spend the money if the snow aint that great ill stuck to my normal board..

PS: Anyone know where i can find a chart of previous snow years? Cant find one anywhere..

Thanks!

Ah ok thanks for the info Snowolf!

Fingers crossed it starts dumping in 1-2 weeks :D

Some of my mates just arrived there yesterday, waiting for them to give me an update.

Bumping this thread b/c I just booked my flight to Anchorage for a business trip on 2/18-19 but am heading down to Alyeska Friday afternoon through Sunday evening (21).

I have stayed at the Alyeska resort once before this past summer (working the same business deal). My wife traveled with me as it was our first trip to AK and we stayed 4 days at the resort exploring the Kenai Peninsula from there. It was pretty awesome, felt like we had the resort to ourselves and it was a really good deal. Needless to say she became very annoyed with me talking about how cool it would be to come back during the winter! I'm thinking that even though I could get much cheaper lodging in Anchorage I should just bite the bullet and stay at the resort again for convenience. Snowolf, do you stay at Alyeska resort or do you make the trip back and forth from Anchorage?

The North Face is pretty extreme, at least it looked like it when it was bare this summer. Super stoked about this trip. Sno, if you have any other helpful hints or tips let me know!

TIA
