Anon M4 lens help please!

Hi everyone, I’m really hoping someone could shed some light (bad pun, sorry!) on an issue I’ve got. I’ve just bought this seasons M4 with onyx and violet lenses. I knew buying them that I would need to get a white out day lens, the cloudy burst ideally, but stock is a nightmare. Anyway, I’m going to try previous seasons lenses to get what I need but then it hit me, do previous seasons lenses fit this season goggle frame? Any help or feedback on m4 lenses very much appreciated as this is already a pricey investment 🥴 thanks

M4 is M4. If they change the form factor of the lens, they'll give the goggle a different name.

Thanks for replying. I appreciate that 👍 Hopefully I’ll pick up an older pair. Ive seen the sonar amber going cheap. Are these suitable for snow days? Or are they too close to the violet variable lens?
There's another thread around here somewhere in which people argue about their favorite lens color. I think the takeaway is that it's very individual. For me, the VLT% is way more important than the color.

The biggest thing you want especially for us Aussies is a lens for bright conditions ie low VLT and a lens for whiteout/low light conditions ie high VLT.

I agree, vlt has to be the primary factor before anything else. Trouble is I’ve only really bought off the shelf flat light yellow lens goggles before but the foams perished in the loft since the Covid break. I then had a rough time in January on a heavy snow day with sunny lenses which basically meant I just had to call it quits and board down with no goggles on. I don’t want to be in that position again and waste a day pass.

I believe the amber lens is 59% vlt. Is that high enough for a flat light / snow day?
I've taken to carrying a spare lens in my backpack so I can swap if necessary. The whole point of the M4 is how easy that is to do.

Understood and thanks again for the reply but the other lenses that I have for the m4 are for brighter conditions (sunny and a variable lens). I am trying to figure the best option for a poor light / white out day lens which I can take out, and given that access to stock of lenses on the UK is very limited 😖 I am scratching around for best option. One option is old season amber lens and another is the infrared again from previous seasons…
