I'm booked for a day of heliskiing in revelstoke this february (major stoke). I'm curious if anyone here has ever gone before and would have some previous experience to share or important first timer tips to give. Apparently the company we're going with has equipment that we can rent. I current ride a 156 NS revolver (rocker) and a 159 custom X (camber). I'm currently leaning to keeping my own gear for the day, but not sure if going with their longer powder boards would really make or break the day.

Will we really get to "leap" out of the heli and strap on on the brink of a virgin run? Or do they tend to take people at the same place all the time?
