I've been in Alaska almost a year, been hitting up Alyeska pretty regularly. I've been looking into the Chugach mountains on my home and to work everyday thinking about doing some backcountry snowboarding.

I've never done it before, was wondering if anyone up here does this pretty regularly and wouldn't mind me tagging along. I have a lot of backpacking gear and mountain climbing. I wouldn't need to borrow anything if I needed to buy something.

Sorry to revive a two month old thread but I was wondering the same thing. I would like to get up to Hatcher's Pass and do some hiking in the mountains around Anchorage next year.

Also, if anyone is interested in going to Alyeska tomorrow, I have 3 free lift tickets and can only use one. This is closing weekend and I can't go Saturday or Sunday.

Been to the Chugachs recently and looked for info as well. Not too many ppl on this board from AK... you may have better chances on Splitboard Home.
BTW: you guys live at a marvelous place :thumbsup:
