Had it x-rayed etc yet?
what happened to your car?
Haven't been bothered to x-ray... guess medical apathy comes with medical family? Just landed on it funny a few weeks back (jumping out of bed to chase a fox out of the chicken shed)
Felt like a nasty bruise right out at the 1st met/phal joint. Had a limp and a little swelling for about a week and now it's mostly fine unless I put lateral pressure on it directly......
Last night I realised that my backland boots, though comfy normally, put a reasonable amount of pressure on the forefoot... when I took them off I was wincing and limping again for an hour or so.

Meanwhile my car has been in the shop waiting on parts from Europe for about the same amount of time 🤣

Definitely frustrating seeing the backcountry touring folks have been getting up to throughout October as I've only just got this first split setup!
I didn't expect to use it this year.... but knowing I COULD have is a bummer.

Jeebus rice, go get it scanned FFS. medical apathy is for those who live in countries with Fk All public health system. There's obviously a problem. get it sorted in case it degenerates into something longer term.

Nah it's pretty chill... could just be a sprain too.
Honestly feels like nothing unless I specifically try to aggravate it at this stage.

Either/or I'm 100% sure it's not bad enough to need surgery, which means there's nothing to do for it besides try and rest it (which means no split touring )

Think maybe the Asian conference has performed the best in Qatar WC out of the group stages to final 16 K/O playoffs.

AFC 4.5 + H positions. 3 teams through; Japan South Korea, Australia.
UEFA 13 positions. 8 teams through; England, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, Croatia, France, Switzerland, Poland.
CONCACAF: 3.5 + H positions. 1 team through; U.S of A.
CAF: 5 positions. 2 teams through; Morocco, Senegal.
CONMEBOL: 4.5 + H positions. 2 teams through; Brazil, Argentina.
Oceania: 0.5 positions. DNQ WC.

woah, does this mean perisher is better than hotham in winter? Hmm
Holy carp, that is insane! I would Mt Buller daytripper style toboggan the absolute SH7T outta that! (with obligatory Coles bags full of premade sangas and cup noodles in tow, of course).

I think this would be an Australian 1st.

Didn't watch the vid but is that the one that they were proposing out near Eastern Creek, or somewhere around there? Indoor snow dome would be amazing. Kinda thinking of finding something outside of on-snow (be it here or overseas), to augment my snowboarding...

Can never hope this kind of things in Victoria. so jealous... heck we don't even have a a skitube to ski resort, that'll cut off travel time dealing with idiots who can't drive on windy icy roads or those 1.0L city car struggling up the mountain.
I sometimes think about just sitting kitted up at our local ice skating rink in Darwin, that’s about as close as we’ll get

Something like that would be absolutely AMAZING, but would never work in a place like Melbourne - without heavy limits and something like an online pre-purchase and time slot booking system. Imagine all the Saturday morning Melbourne-Buller crowd, packing out the place. Not to mention those folks who just want to stand in the snow in their newly acquired Mountain Designs/Kathmandu puffer jackets (nothing against those brands, I just see them a lot on non-snowsports snow enthusiasts).

1.0L city car up to the snow?? Hell yes!I get what you mean about people who don't know how to drive the roads, though. This past season I learned that sometimes, you simply have to back off and go with the flow. A tune, suspension and decent tyres isn't really going to achieve anything, in the 3:30pm onwards mass commute down the hill.

For other times, when it comes to those people who refuse to turn out for slower traffic, who fancy themselves as quick - play with em enough to get their tyres washing out and fading brakes starting to smell putrid, and they'll likely turn out next chance they get lol.
