walove, the vertical for most runs isn't huge. Usually around 800-1k of sustained vert. The thing is for a lot of it, all you you have to do is hike half of that for the run. So you do get a fair amount of bang for you buck. We actually toured from the top of the pass making our way down drainages to an area called 1st Creek. Depends on the tour you do that direction but you get around 3k vertical down and you climb almost 1k less than that. One of the drops where I have the stick is pretty short though, maybe 600 vertical on the main line. There is another 400-500 around a ridge. If you go higher up the ridge into the alpine line, you get about a grand.
Also, if you stay at the top of the pass and stick to the old ski are runs, you can get a ton of runs. I've done as many as ten hot lapping the top of the pass. Access is that easy. For us, we got three drops but they were of pretty good quality. It's a fun tour.
I've done a fair amount of backcountry around the states and Bert is definitely a special place. Teton Pass might be the only place that has a similar set up. And of course it's Teton Pass. Still, Bert is a great spot to spend some time at. It's definitely world class.
I've noticed that. The stick does seem to catch better action video, you can't really see what the line is you're doing. I am trying to make an effort to bust it out for a line or two on my tours. It's a bit more of a hassle than just slapping it on my helmet. It is also something I want to use on runs that are a little more openly spaced than some of the tighter tree lines.
Cody will be joining us. He won't let me get out the door without him.

Soooo.....looking for a PLB for mostly solo hiking, climbing and piece of mind. InReach, Spot both allow two way communication.......both require additional subscription to work. ACR ResQlink more powerful, non-subscription......no two way communication. Looking for real person...
Well for some of us season is just around the bend so i figured i would post some pictures from last year. We had an amazing snow year up here last year thats aloud us to ride well into the summer. If i can find snow in sep i should be able to mark riding all 12 months of the year off my list...
It's my first time posting on this forum, super stoked I found it. My brother and I recently preseason-hiked up Big White, and tried to camp the night in a Quinzhee. It's not entirely backcountry, but we're working our way up to more extreme stuff.
I enjoy making videos too, so I filmed the...
