INDK, Streetlight Manifesto, N&SK, pretty much anything that's reggae influenced and/or pretty quick, but not heavy.

REally like your list.
Thanks... I put some other stuff in there, depending on what I feel like listening to. Dresdain Dolls is fun. and I just added:
Alexisonfire
cage the elephant
and the yeah yeah yeahs

But I just got a cheap little 4GB mp3 player/radio so I dont have to worry about breaking my iPod touch. It was $40, defanitly a good idea. Loaded it up and its ready to go for the weekend.

Go to Walmart and grab a cheapie one. Mine is a philips gogear. Looks like of like those little iPod shuffles, no display, but its only about the size of a bluetooth, and it has radio  I used it today at work, it works pretty good, but make sure you completely charge it, cause I didnt and it died halfway thru my shift

My tastes are all over the map when it comes to music for riding.. Some examples (in alphabetical order!) of what can be found on my iPod are:

Amon Tobin
Beastie Boys
Cassius
Earth Wind & Fire
Frank Sinatra
G.G. Allin
Kid Koala
Metallica
Opeth
Pantera
Portishead
Roots Manuva
She & Him
Wu Tang

... And many more. Variety is the spice of life.

Ahh I need something cheaper, too..I got a 160 GB classic that I am way tooooo scared to break.
I use my old 3rd gen iPod that I've modded with a 32gb compact flash card. It's friggin bulletproof. And the larger capacity battery gets me about 10 hours of continuous play. I'd suggest looking for an older iPod Mini with a dead hdd and doing a CF swap. They're a really bulletproof MP3 player and would cost under $100 to mod one up with flash memory.
