Binding positioning

Hey guys, I'm new here and I don't think I will be very active on the forums but I will be on occasionally just to get some questions answered.

Anyways, not sure if this is in the right section, but I have a few questions about my bindings.

I want a wider stance on my board but I can only move the back binding further out and it makes the front of the board longer than the back. Is that bad or will I just have to get used to it?

Also my bindings are both at 9 degrees. I am wondering what they should be set to for all around riding.

Let me know what you guys think or if I posted this in the wrong place.

Why can't you move the front one more towards the tip. Also depends on terrain that you ride where you want your setback (the distance rear binding is from the center of the board)

How wide is your stance now and how wide are you trying to go?

Personal preference my feet are pronated so I ride Duck +15/-15 everyone's body is different. +9/-9 seems a bit straight for duck but you will need to play with these angles and see what works for you
I ride at +9/-9 for everything. I find it to be quite comfortable for me. But it might not be comfortable for someone else. Binding angle really is personal preference. As for the position of your bindings, it sounds like maybe you have the front maxed out on the inserts and the board you have has some setback. It's OK if you have more nose than tail, but it's more for freeriding than freestyle.
Thanks for the help guys. I will leave my bindings at +9/-9. My board is maxed out on the front. I think i'm going to move my back binding to its original place. While I like the pop I get from moving it back it makes the whole board off center.
I think you loose some stability and/or turning ability too. I'm not great on boards is that a more powder board with a wider nose then tail?

Also mount your bindings and measure the center-center of the bindings. Don't think you really want to be more than 21"

I have to disagree....depending on your height, go with what feels natural. If you are too narrow, you will have issues with stability.

I am 5'9" and i am btw 21.5"-23.5" depending on what im riding...
Something's not adding up, what board and size are you using? Post a pic of your current setup.
How I found my sweet spot by adjust and set them take a run or two and then move them. I changed angle and width at least 5 times. It was very informing because I got to experience the differences first hand. There is no one stance that will be perfect for everyone.
In the spring i got a new snowboard and the shop i got it from sold me one that's a little big. I have my bindings as far in as i can get them but my stance still feels a bit big. I set the bindings to 25 degrees i think and it feels a bit better but now my feet feel a little twisted. what should i do?

1. goto the dr.

2. ask for a new brain

3. post pics of your setup and tell us some details: measure the current distance between your bindings from the center of each, how much do you weigh, how tall are you, how big is the board, 25degrees duck or forward stance....(you know, like, the details that matter now that you have a functioning brain)

4. profit (I like this, thanks Shredlife)

Haha he said there's nothing he can do.

Here's a pick of my board. I way 135 lbs, I'm about 5' 7", the board is a 151 cm wide capita horroscope. bindings are actually at 21 degrees.
