I'm currently riding a 2005 Burton Clash with Burton Freestyle Bindings and I think it's time for an upgrade.

I'm 5'9
160ish lbs
Size UK8/9
Goofy

The board I'm looking at is a Forum Destroyer Doubledog as it seems to suits my style of riding all mountain hitting all the natural jumps I can find, bit of powder riding and I will be taking a trip or 2 to the park but I'm trying to decide on what bindings to get?
I've read a lot of good things about Rome 390 Boss, mixed reviews on union Force due to the toe strap and I've also looked at Burton Cartel Restricted, which of these binding would suit the Destroyer Doubledog? If none which bindings would suit it?

I like the idea on the 390boss because of the canted footbeds but not a necessity as I don't get knee problems yet.

I have a pair of Burton Moto boots in UK size 9 but I'm debating on buying a new pair of boots.

Any help is much appreciated

I ride the Doubledog Destroyer with the restricted Cartels. I'm mostly in the park but the board does fine on groomers. It's ok in powder but I haven't ridden too much of it. Love the setup.

Edit: The Destroyer may not be the best board for your style of riding. I recently rode the Rome Agent Rocker and found it far better on groomers and powder. Definitely a more all mountain board than the destroyer.

Would you say it's worth the money? Ill be paying around £280 for the board? I've read a lot of good reviews on it so I'm hoping it will be, how do you find the restricted cartels? Have you used it with any other bindings?

Sure it's worth the money, at least to me. I like the cartels a lot more than I thought I would. Great all around binding. I've paired the Destroyer with some old Triads I have along with some Flux DS30s. Out of those three I like the Cartels the best.

The only thing I can't understand is I haven't heard any bad things about the board but yet it doesn't seem a very popular board and for the price I would have thought it was more popular?

The Forum Brand is gone after this year. That could have something to do with it. Forum has also been freestyle focused from day one and only appeals to certain riders.

So I have read, but burton are honouring the warranties if I remember rightly?

I havent rode a destroyer since about 2005, but I bought a pair of restriced cartel bindings this year, and they are amazing! I usually get my gear in the off season, so i was hesitant to pay full price... but I dont regret it at all, these are my third pair of Cartels now, and hands down the best.

That is sad to hear about Forum, does anyone know if there is a possibility of the brand being sold to new owners and continued?

Wow, that sucks, when I think about it now, I haven't seen very many people riding Forum boards recently. I remember when I was just starting to snowboard they were all over the hill, all the "cool" guys had Forum boards. I tried to convince my parents to buy me a youngblood all year, I eventually ended up getting my first job that summer so I could buy one for the next season.

Forum will be missed by me, lots of good memmories on those boards.

I've got the same board. Went back and forth between the 390 bosses and a few other brands. I decided to go with Raiden Zeros because i got a steal on them and i couldn't be any happier.
