Bindings for a Jones MT?

Looking at grabbing an upgraded board for this year (my last one is a 10 year old Burton Clash). Planning for a Jones MT and considering a few bindings. Would love your thoughts. Boot are Burton Rulers
.
  • Rome Katana (a bit expensive, but sounds like everyones incredibly happy with these)
  • Burton Cartel X (apparantly a do-everthing binding, so in case i ever need to switch boards, I may be able to reuse these bindings for something else).
  • Union Atlas (seen some folks mention this one, not too sure)
  • Jones Mercury / Now (Heard good things about the skatetech and responsiveness here).

I'm leaning towards the Katana or the Cartel x.

Any insights on what would work well for me? I'm a stronger intermediate boarder, all-mountain + side hits / powder, no specific desire to hit the park and the closest I'll go to freestyle may be some switch / butters.

Thank you!

You might want to check out the Union STR. Medium stiff binding that offers great bang for the buck. I've used the STR and the Force for years and been pleased with both. The STR would be a very good binding for a strong intermediate all mountain rider, especially at 120 less than the Atlas.
