This morning I cut an old board I snapped a couple years ago for my son's school presentation. He wanted to explain how it's built: wood core, fiberglass, sidewall, edges, etc.

I didn't know sidewall construction could mean that the board is ENTIRELY made of sidewall! (ABS)

No wood core what so ever. I knew about compacted foam cap-construction, but not about full-lenght ABS sidewall construction.

Anybody saw that before ?

Board is a 1997 Limited made in Austria.

Well, it's 1997 heavy.... I've seen worse.

Just weighed it.

7 lbs 2 oz -> 3.23 kg

Also weighed a 2013 LibTech 146 (to lazy to take bindings off of the other boards)

5 lb 5 oz -> 2.51 kg
