Had to rub it in....
I imagine you've mentioned this somewhere in the forum already, but I must've missed it! So I gotta ask,..... Where the fuck do you find ridable snow in July & August???????
 :dunno: :icon_scratch:

(...and YES! That was uncool to rub it in like that!!) ;)

Live in the mountains and hike up to the snow, not that hard. I rode 6 days a week ago.
Hmnn, I would have thought that even high up this time of year would be nothing but glacial type, Ice conditions. (...that or like riding in a slurpee cup! lol!) It's amazing to me that you guys can still ride this late into the summer! I most definitely live in the wrong part of the country!!

Naw, I missed 'em! But I went n checked now! :) Pretty cool ride for Aug.
(...not being a park rider myself, those threads don't grab my attention as quick as others.) I appreciate the skill and ability, but just can't see my Old Ass ever getting into it!

Then again, I have been doing a fair bit of balance training on my diy balance boards & slackline,.. So who knows! I'm pretty stupid! Might just find myself trying to crack some ribs on a box or shoot for a DIY vasectomy on rails some day!!! Lol!

Not sure how old you are but I"ll be 46 this year only been riding 4 yrs this will be 5 and I'm stoked to learn and ride park. I'm a so so rider, no hiding that. I can do basics, and simple grabs on what I consider a big jump 25' I prefer 15-20 footers though.
So if I can learn and ride park I'm sure you could but you must ride what you enjoy. I enjoy all mountain which includes park, not everyone does

It snowed on the upper half of the mountains a couple weeks ago. What makes it so nutty is that I'm in BC. Our town had the the driest July since 1922, and the hottest/sunniest July recorded.
Here's a video from Mica Heli to get you pumped up... this area (Mica) is where I'm living and shredding last/this year.

and another good one from down in town last winter...

Haha! I'll be 53 right around the start of this season! Riding 2.5 seasons, this will be 3, and if you're a "So-So" rider doing grabs off 25 footers, I'm back to being a rank NooB with my straight & switch riding, basic butters & 6 inch ollies!! ;) LOL!

The park stuff looks like fun, and where I'm living I definitely see the attraction. With our ridiculously small hills & short runs, the park certainly offers more challenge and variety for a rider than our typical, 90 seconds down, 8 min. back up on the lift. I am also not going to ignore the plain Ol' "steeze" factor involved getting good at it either!! :)

But it also looks to me like the Learning Curve for getting decent, probably involves the possibility of more frequent season interrupting or even ending injuries than I'm willing to risk on it! :dunno: Right now, I'd hate to think of loosing all or most of a season's riding cuz I wanted to try and be as "cool" as some 20 something kid! (...on the other hand, I could lose a season tripping over the dog when I get up in the morning! So who the fuck knows, right?) ;)

I can tell you that should I ever decide to give it a real go,... I'll probably be wearing so much protective gear, I'll look like the Michelin Man coming down the slope!!!  HEY!!! Wrap myself head to toe in tires!!! Not a half bad idea!!!! :giggle:
