Heya,

just prepared for a week in the Alps and found this bump on the base of my Yes Big City. It's about 2 inches (5cm) long and doesn't feel like a bubble. Meaning, I can't push it flat. Didn't come from a hit and the topsheet looks flawless. It's not very high but definitely noticeable when you touch it.

I'm not sure if that's a first sign of delamination or just Nidecker craftsmanship. I hope it's nothing and I'm sure I wouldn't notice it while riding. But I don't want to risk taking a board to the resort that might break anytime soon.

Wisdom is appreciated. Thanks!

That type of damage is typically from impacting your sidewall/edge. Watch your sidewalls there for any seperation. If it's fine and never pulls up then if you can't feel it leave it. It it starts to seperate take it to a shop and have them knock the base down, pull the edge back out, and reglue the delam.
