So let's have a little closer look at what Burton Snowboards has got going on with the [ak] Summit 2L GORE-TEX® pants to make these a great option for women snowboard riders.
2020 Burton [ak] Summit insulated pants (Forest Night).
Let's look firstly at the fit with the Burton [ak] Summit 2L GORE-TEX® Pants. They sit pretty standard for a sizing on my wife's 162cm 5'4"/50kg frame. The fit is "Relaxed articulated" which means they're not going to be too bulky, but neither too slim.
2014 Burton [ak] Summit Pants (Heathers).
The articulated cut around the knees is symbolic with [ak] pants and a really good design feature being optimised for the best natural riding position with around a 30° degree sweeping backwards arc. Naturally, the Burton [ak] Summit Pants feel really good whilst on with zero restrictions to movement whilst riding aggressively.
2016 Burton [ak] Summit pants (True Black).
The Burton [ak] Summit Pants comes fitted with 5 x pockets; 1 x at the rear, 2 x right and left on the hip front and 2 large sweetly angled style external cargo pocket with custom-branded YKK® water-resistant zippers.
Burton have fitted a cuff elevator system located on either side of the lower rear pant legs which allows you to lift your cuffs of the ground to protect them from damaging wear and abrasion. These cuff elevators are really simple to activate and bring into play however they are a lot more difficult to release as the elastic tends to get held up in the cord stay without a much more concentrated effort to bring back to the normal position whilst off. I find it's much easier to simply fold and flip the external cuffs up over the boot gaiters whilst walking around the car or off the mountain.

The Burton [ak] Summit insulated pants
(Forest Night) are lined with PrimaLoft® Black 40 grams fill weight and are much more suited for colder conditions. Combined with full top and bottom [ak] Power Stretch (midweight 200) baselayer enables the rider a pretty solid level of protection for combating the elements and providing adequate warmth whilst charging around in the powder.
The Burton [ak] Summit pants are protected from the elements with a 2L (layer) GORE-TEX® membrane meaning that the outer shell DWR protected fabric is melded into one with the internal GORE-TEX® membrane. However, GORE-TEX® as membrane, can be damaged with excessive wear/friction if it is not protected and consequently requires an additional insulation layer. Burton solve this by using brushed Tricot (micro-fibre fleece) in the seat, the front pocket areas as well as above the knees with additional placement of soft Taffeta to the front and lower calves creating a total internal protective lining. This lining gives the women's Burton [ak] Summit pants a warmer feel similar to what the [ak] Stagger pants had prior going on over a decade ago before evolving to the combined internal Taffeta and mesh lined system fitted into the current men's [ak] Cyclic and Swash pants.

The inner leg venting on the Burton [ak] Summit Pants has a single directional zip system on either side which opens up to allow heat dissipation from within. The vents are open and are not fitted with stretch mesh-lined "no-snag Test-I-Cool" venting.
'20 Burton [ak] Summit Insulated (Forest Night)/ '16 [ak] Summit (True Black).
From around 2020, Burton have modified the cut on the Burton [ak] Summit moving the internal waist adjustments from the inside to the outside. I feel the inside position aesthetically looks a bit neater than seeing the adjustments tabs on the external sides. However a big benefit of the external adjustment tab is allowing the wearer to easily adjust the waist circumference whilst having the [ak] Summit pant done up for a perfect fit.
The Burton [ak] Summit have moved from a single front press stud to now running with a 2 press stud system in the front, integrated with a short length zipper below.
Now, if I was going to find a fault with Burton with their [ak] Summit Pants it would be in their leg length. For me, as a taller rider well above average height (192cm/6'4") I have absolutely zero issues with Burton's regular leg length in either the [ak] Hover, Swash or Cyclic pants. However.., the [ak] Summit have a regular inseam length of 84cm/33" standard across the entire sizing range (XXS to XXL) so for sub <5'5" riders it's pretty essential to jump into the "Short" cut range which are reduced in length by -2"/50mm than the "Regular" leg length or additionally +2"/50mm longer when optioned in "Tall" range. I've found for GIANT sized riders you'd really have to be 6'6" plus to warrant the tall cut with Burton pants.
My wife is 5'4"/50kg riding women's Burton 2L GORE-TEX® Summit and 2L GORE-TEX® Kimmy Bibs in XS now and both these models are slightly gathered up a bit over the boots. We find additionally with Burton [ak] Jackets they also fall within this parameter for smaller riders with fairly long arm lengths beyond the fingertips. Small length cuts with Burton pants are practically as rare as hen's teeth in retail outlets down here in Australia.
The zippered reinforced ankle cuffs on the [ak] Summit have a nice width and enable easy positioning over the boots and highbacks if warranted without having to unnecessarily unzip every time.
