I just bought a new pair of burton ION boots with the speedzone lacing system. My previous boots also had this system and I really loved them. On this new pair, they don't seem to be lacing well. The upper zone for instance laces good on the lower string but the upper one is much loser and I really have to pull hard for them to be tight. Is this normal and will it disapear after the break in period. Or does someone have a fix for this?

I think that its the 2018 or 2019 model.

Might change a bit with break in. Might not though. I like my boots ('15 Ion ltd) pretty tight. I pull the bottom zone snug but not crazy tight. Then I pull the top zone tight, flex them a bit, punch the tongue in a few times with the side of my fist and snug them up some more.
