Does anyone know the current equivalent to the Burton Sabbath? Looks like Burton discontinued them after 2008... I might pick up a new pair of '08 Sabbaths since a few vendors seem to have em still, but the current equivalents (if they exist) will probably be cheaper than what I've found so far. I've got some 2007 Burton Sabbaths (pre-shrinkage-tech), and I never realized it, but they have a smaller footprint than small-footprint-staples like the Ride FUL/RFL and Salomon F-series.

How do I know this? Well, I ordered some Salomon F3.0 and Ride FUL boots to see about replacing my sick black gatorskin Sabbaths. I was thinking I wanted something smaller for my new board with a thinner waist, but when I compared the footprint side by side...the old Sabbaths beat both of them. As a result, I'm probably going to return the Ride/Salomon boots and stick with my Sabbaths for a while longer since they've held up great.

edit: for anyone wondering about the fit and feel. I wear a 11.5 in the burton sabbath, and I had settled on an 11 in the FUL to provide the same level of toe-crunch that I had with the sabbath's when they were new. The salomon F3.0 in 29.5 was slightly less toe-crunchy, but it seemed like another size down to the 29 (didn't try them on) might have been too small. All three boots were super comfy on my feet. The f3.0 definitely felt the stiffest, but I think my sabbath's were in the same ballpark when they were new. The FUL feels similar to my broken-in sabbaths.

Thanks... A google search seems to confirm it is the grail. Also, it's another religious reference...so that makes sense. Looks like they softened up compared to the sabbath which sucks...maybe a little stiffer in more recent models. Still leaning towards picking up some old Sabbaths, TBH...

Definitely not the hail, though. They've been around forever. I remember trying those on back when I bought my Sabbaths, and they were super flexy park boots. Back then, I remember reading that they packed out quickly and dramatically. Basically a great boot when they're brand new...crappy after a full season.

edit: grail is definitely dead now too... Ox seems similar to the old sabbath's, but ...not. whatever...old sabbath's or the FUL for me, I think.
