So should I bring them (Board, bindings) to a shop for a thorough check in case of any invisible damages. But the shops around my place does not seem to have such services.

Or I can do it on my own?

You should probably check it yourself mate.

The thought of having a shop check my equipment has never really entered my head. Or how about you take your board to get waxed, and then ask the guy to give it a once over for you. Should take him 30 seconds :)

Yeah

apart from ensuring that the screws hold firmly, what else shld be checked?
Board to Binding connecttion is definitely the most important. Some other possible problems:
- Cracks (could lead to major board breaking problems while on the slope.
-bevel problems, you dont want to have none control :D.
- metal sidewall dents (minor issue)
- waxing i guess. (rly important btw, slow board takes the fun out of riding in my op)

please add ideas

If you find your bindings coming loose, put a dot of BLUE loctite on the screws before tightening them up. This will stop them coming loose from vibrations, but still be easy to undo with a screwdriver :)
