I've been riding a Burton Custom X for 3 years now and I'm looking for a new board. Im and experienced I'm 6ft (185cm) tall and weigh about 158 lbs (72kg).
Both board and bindings need replacement and I'm going to try to stay away from the burton channel system as I plan to purchase a dedicated powder board in the near future. I'm and experienced rider (ive been riding for 12 years now), but I've always stuck to camber boards.

I'm looking for an all-mountain board for high speed carving and some freestyle, however Im not a park rider. I had my eyes on the Capita TFA 157 and the Arbor Element CX 158.
I'm leaning towards the Capita but I'd like to get some input on riding that hybrid cambered style board coming from an custom x.

Cant speak about the boards you mentioned since I havent ridden them, but i can say going from camber to rocker boards takes a little getting used to. It feels livelier, and transitions easier so there was a tendency to over compensate at first. Adding in magnetration to the mix made me almost hate the board for the first few runs. As i got more used to the way it feels, now I cant see myself ever going back.
However since youre interested in a hybrid, i would imagine your transition would be smoother than mine.

I went from a traditional camber deck to a hybrid camber, then back to a traditional camber all in the same season. If you can ride one board, then you can ride any board. There may be a run or two where you have to adjust, but you will be fine. I love hybrid camber, and as soon as I have the money to pick up another, I will. I don't like riding my traditional camber deck.

Like lowlyffe said, it take some getting used to, and i feel you loose a little edge hold, but the riding is actually easier, which i think makes up for it.

Definitly the TFA over the element. the element is very fagile. also the charlie slasher is a awesome pow board.

boards i would suggest over both of those, Ride Highlife UL or Never Summer Raptor X. Many feel that these are the preimier freeride boards out right now. I really like my Lib banana magic, it does everything really well.

My requirements for a board meet yours, and I just bought a Gnu Danny Kass C2BTX. An allmountain hybrid with quite some power, I guess you will like it too.

Besides that, there are many options. I went for this one because of the hybrid construction of Lib-tech and Gnu, then looked for the allmountain 6/10, or 7/10 flex boards, and then picked the good quality one with cool graphics in my size.

Good luck, let us know which one you picked!

Well I've been taking your advice into account and started looking at some shops around here (belgium) and i found one that can give me really good deals on YES snowboards. I was riding a custom x 162w and I found a great deal on a Pick Your Line 161 and a great beauties 160. Would these be viable replacements?

So I went out and bought my new setup. I checked out a ton of boards and I decided to go with the burton custom restricted. It looked like a nice design to me, combining what I wanted so I can't wait to check it out. Together with burton cartel bindings and Ion boots i guess this will be my new setup.
