I hit two jumps one after the other, the first one landed. Second one I did not check my speed and got some too much air for me to handle.

I landed on the nose of my board really hard and slammed my head on to the snow. Luckily for my helmet. I then notice that the noice of my board kind of snapped.

It looks like the top sheet cracked and but the core still looks good. There is some added flex to the area because of this. It looks like the top sheet just cracked, but i'm not sure. The local ski hill repair shop gave me some black p-tex to put on. I rode for a day and the ptex came off.

Any suggestions on how I could fix this myself? Should I just go to a repair shop?

Thanks

That doesn't look good. I'm pretty sure that board is done for. I would take it to a repair shop to get their professional opinion before you toss it in the dumpster.

Burton has pretty solid customer service. They gave me a brand new 2012 Custom Flying V even though my 2 year warranty had expired 2 weeks ago before sending it in.

You cracked the core. Oh and good luck getting that warrantied. I've never seen that happen to a board without doing basically what you did.

Ride it till it really dies but yeah, not worth attempting to fix. Not that you really can. You can layer some carbon fiber down on it and epoxy it all together, but that's probably not worth the time, effort, or money and it still wont ride normal.

Also that's either an Afterblack or a Mystery. Sorry you dropped so much on a deck you broke.

It sounds like he already had it warrantied?

Did they send you a new one?

Lets just warranty impacts that are user error now! Fucking Burton.
Surely you cant get upset about that, if they wanna give the guy a board let them. I am still waiting on my diode carbon highback that just decided to start cracking after 4 hours but they are sending me a new one. Thank fuck for that.

Actually I can because it doesn't teach people to take responsibility for their actions.
Don't hate, I'm 30 years old you don't need to teach me about responsibility. It was just an error in judgment everyone makes mistakes. Now I am debating if I should keep the Custom or Trice I just got last year.
