DanceHaul sizing question - 143 vs 147 cm, 5' 3", 7.5 boot, 150-154 lbs

Hello all! Just wanted to see if anyone could give me some suggestions on the sizing for the Dancehaul. It appears I am at the upper limit of the143 cm, however I'm thinking if I go147cm it negates the point of getting a volume shifted board. I have a more athletic build (short wrestler), though I suppose weight is weight no matter if you are a 'fathlete' or fitness competitor. I would be riding this on east coast, VT/NY/NH. I have also looked into the warpig as that has a little higher weight limit for its 142 cm (160lbs), but I have read it is a much less forgiving. I primarily do groomers, no park (Older dude, intermediate, like to cruise more than hard charging). Open to other board suggestions as well! Thanks!!

Our stats are very similar, I'm 5'3", 7 boot at 140lbs. I own the 143 and love how nimble and versatile it is. The only issue I have with it is the flex, I wish it was a tad stiffer. If I were you I'd go for the 147.

Rare to find someone my same height ;) Thanks for your input/advice! - I was hoping to get something shorter/nimble for the heck of it, but I 147 looks like the way to go for the Dancehaul.
What size boards do you normally ride? I ride 149 - 152cm, so a 147 for you I feel is still volume shifted but I get it, wanting something shorter/nimble which is I why I bought mine.

Hey! 150 cm is what I have been currently using, though pretty much at the weight limit of that board lol (Salomon Sight). There are so many options its dizzing- Was even looking at a K2 party platter as that seems to have a larger weight spread - 138cm weight specs are from 120-200lbs which seems crazy to me :)
I rode the 147 at 175lbs so I think you could do the 143, but if you powder hunt, you may like the additional float of the 147. At my weight, the 147 was good for everything except hard charging.

So I'm more in between the 52 an the 57, but super glad I picked the 57. I think @Phedder was pretty happy to downsize too. That being say, I'm still pretty in the middle of the weight range for the 52 and I wouldn't want it to have less stance and feel softer. So… I would say 47. Especially if you're fit.

Definitely not an ice board though…

Yeah for how I was using it, the 157 felt too big (more too wide with size 9s) and I love how playful the 152 feels to me, but I can definitely overpower it if I jump straight onto it from my usual 159/161 stiffer AM boards. Next year I'll be grabbing the new 154 size, hopefully goldilocksed my way through them hah.

OP, I'd say go 147 unless you know you really want the playfulness and maneuverability of the 143.

I’m a wrestler……well thirty years ago I was . 5’5” 165 size 9 boots. Love my 147. It’s perfect. I ride VT 90%. It rails edges pretty well for a short deck. If you ride aggressive bombing hills you’ll appreciate the extra edge for the ice coast. But it does get a little sketchy on really icy days so not much of a one board quiver. More of a playful deck.

Great to hear! Im at the the stage where I like to do more carving, turns, enjoying scenery like an old man lol. I love charging on occasion but definitely not a priority. Thanks for the reply!

Thanks so much Scalpelman, appreciate the insight! I sometimes miss the glory-days of wrestling, but I don't miss the injuries, and will never be freakin' cuting weight again!!

Thanks so much! Looks like 147is the broad consensus for stability :)
