Heyyo, what happens when a board's base gets dry? Will it still hold as much wax? I've never been particularly sure about that.

I'm asking because I wanted to buy this used board from a seller online.

And the seller says quote: " Edges and base is in near perfect condition and the top sheet has normal binding marks but the rest of the board is in great condition. I'd give the base a wax but that's about it."

From experience I know that bases look much better in pictures than they do in real life so I can't tell from that picture. But I do see a bit of edge rust.

the rust should come off when you tune it and waxing is something you would do anyways so as long as your comfortable paying whatever hes asking you should be good.

Looks terrible, dont buy it....instead, give me the link to the ad, and ill deal with the guy :D

hopefully a good price, looks pretty primo!

Board looks in great shape! I have one of the greats and love it. I just purchased my second board from YES today. Great company.
