Daft Punk quit performing. Who knows maybe with all that free time they took up snowboarding. If I were a retired megastar musician Niseko is where I’d go.
also-thanks for the reminder to out some DP into my snowboard playlist. “harder, better, faster, stronger” might motivate me.

wowser! I didn't realize non-splitboard snowboards got that expensive. A random question: are there any ultra-expensive snowboards that you guys think is worth it?

edit: the project x doesn't really seem like a status symbol type of board... the graphics are just all-black. I would expected it to be a bit more blinged out for that price point. lol

Not as expensive… but I think Amplids are worth it. Especially the Centrifugal boards w/ antiphase... that dampening is unlike anything I’ve ridden before.

Bataleon Surfer just for the super pow day quiver board. Had 2 runs off a friends board.. and that’s a fun board

in addition to the mystery line there was also lib's cygenus (sp?) board they made for a few years. It rang in around $1700 new in the early '10s. As for the graphics being understated I'd equate it to the Maybach; it basically looks like the S class unless you know what your looking at

I think the OP didn't like the feedback and flounced. The title has been edited again as I sit here. Possibly killclimbz?
@Donutz there are a ton of these blow in overnighter newbies that make 1 or 2 lengthy OP then FLASH..., they disappear forever. Now I'll throw this out there but I wasn't sure if it was actually SBF just trying to keep the post flow turning over in here but..., could that just be me being all GQP like conspiracy theory in my old age???

I actually tried to be helpful… but I didn’t think anyone was that harsh.
I don’t know. Maybeeeeeeeeee my feedback was a little harsh.

“@Carve4days, this is your first post and it’s not really going as expected”

“You might be richer than rich, you might be thinking $ = performance.(it does to a point)
I don’t know you and I don’t mean to offend, but one of three things will happen if you buy that board for $1700 (holy fuck!) with the intention of making it your quiver killer.”

”It’s a phallic symbol or as Rip154 calls it a “dentist racer”…. it’s a 156cm big black stick”

“It’s built for a specific demographic, which I don’t think is you. However, if you fly first class just to impress the flight attendants, then you’ll be sure to impress the lifties!”

But he did say ANY feedback is appreciated.
I’m guessing he bought the Project X just to spite us.

I don't know, give the guy advice and let him choose which ever way he wants to go. He can afford it, ride it and loves it then there's no big deal as long as he's happy whichever way he goes.

There's plenty of us riding boards out there no doubt not to the boards full capability. Some of us know it, some live in denial.

Plenty of people buy the biggest pickup truck/4wd but never tow or take it offroad so why should a snowboard be any different.

Exactly this.. I am bummed somebody came here and felt like we were all assholes:) but man it was all just opinions.. kinda funny but I feel the same way. If you can afford it and wanna try it .. go for it! I hate sitting around for weeks googling stuff
and asking questions, if I can actually try a piece of gear that’s the best! Most of the time I don't vibe with it, return it, and move onto obsessing about the next thing haha
